Gili Trawangan has changed over the years, but some things remain; the palms, the ocean, barefoot days, old wooden homes, and the simple joy of having nowhere else to be. That is the Gili we fell in love with. At the heart of Serene is an old wooden home, weathered by sun, rain, salt air, and years of island life. We chose to preserve its character because we believe the most beautiful places are often the ones with a story. Here, breakfast is served beside the sea. At high tide, turtles may appear just beyond the shore. Nothing needs to be rushed. Stay a little longer. Listen to the sea. Watch the light change.
